Charging for School Activities
| Charging Policy As a result of the 1988 Education Reform Act parents may not be charged for the cost of activities taking place wholly or mainly during school hours. However they may be charged for activities taking place outside of school hours, eg. board and lodging in respect of a residential activity. Voluntary contributions may be asked for in respect of peripatetic music tuition or educational visits. It is the Governors' intention that no child whose parents are unable to meet such a charge is prevented from participating in such an activity. |
