Religious Education and Collective Worship
The curriculum provides for Religious Education in the Catholic Faith to be taught throughout the school. Catholicism is presented through Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, systematic instruction, and the experience of living and working in a Christian community. Retreats are organised from time to time. The Religious Education Syllabus is the Religious Education Scheme for Secondary Schools approved by Nottingham Diocesan Catechetical Commission. A GCSE Catholic Religious Studies course is followed by students in Years 10 and 11. Students gather together to worship everyday and mass is offered on a regular basis. The full policy document for this key area of the school's work is available on request. |
