The main sports offered are football, rugby, cricket, hockey, netball, volleyball, athletics, badminton and tennis. Additionally, swimming, ice skating, gymnastics and table tennis are offered. The time allocation for sport in the timetable is currently seventy to seventy five minutes per week. This is supplemented by extra coaching and internal club activities at lunchtime and after school. The school has teams which compete against other schools at all age groups for most schools (see above).

The school is fortunate to have extensive grounds marked out for a variety of activities depending on the time of year, eg football, hockey, athletics etc. There are four hard tennis courts and the all weather area is also marked out for hockey, netball and five-a-side football. The school also has a multi-purpose hall marked out for a variety of sporting activities including basketball, volleyball and badminton and recently, a new gymnasium has been built on site.

There are two trained PE specialists who are assisted on occasion by other staff holding various coaching awards etc.. The specialists hold coaching and umpiring qualifications in netball, tennis, fencing, cricket, athletics, basketball, football, squash, swimming and volleyball.

The school has fostered links with the Sports Development Council and Sport in the Community. Links are also maintained with Grimsby Town FC, St James and Welholme Tennis Club and Tetney Cricket Club.
