"Thank you for accessing the St Mary's Catholic School website. St Mary's is a Specialist Language and Humanities College and a Roman Catholic, Voluntary Aided, 11-16 mixed, Comprehensive School.

The school serves the Catholic community of North East Lincolnshire as part of the Nottingham Diocese but has an admissions policy which makes it open to other Faiths and parents wishing to access a Christian learning environment. We have a very strong partnership with both St Mary's Primary and St Joseph's Primary schools which along with ourselves make up the Catholic pyramid of schools in North East Lincolnshire.

Central to our day to day ethos is our mission statement "We value all in the name of Jesus Christ" and as well as offering our students the very best educational opportunities, often in partnership with other schools and Colleges in North East Lincolnshire, we offer a unique blend of extra curricular, spiritual, community, national and international learning experiences to enrich every member of our school community.

Underpinning all of this is our commitment to respecting dignity, valuing contributions, acting justly, working cooperatively and valuing life long learning. All members of our school are encouraged to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation within a safe and secure learning environment.

An inspection by OFSTED in September 2007 noted that the 'school provides a safe and caring environment for students with all staff being highly committed to students' welfare" and by having "Specialist Language College status it allows students to benefit from opportunities to study an additional foreign language, and for the school to promote their communication skills widely, and especially through work in English".
